In this 4-hour class, students who are new to serging or need to brush up on their skills will learn the basics of serging on a Baby Lock serger while creating two simple projects: a Classy Glasses Case and a Sweet Zipped Bag. Students will learn basic serger stitches including the 4-thread overlock, 3-thread rolled hem, ruffling, and zipper insertion and will walk away from class with a technique notebook and two finished projects.

8 1/2" x 8" piece of interfacing and iron to the back of either the lining or outer fabric piece.

Sweet Zipped Bag Supplies:
3 1/2 x 25" fabric strip for ruffle
4 1/2" x 12" fabric strip for bag top
three 6 1/2" x 4 1/2" strips for piecing bag bottom
12" x 10" piece for bag back
two 12" x 10" pieces for bag lining
